DIY Coffee Sugar Scrub Recipe

So, other than being a full-time mom and wife & business owner and entrepreneur...I really love all things DIY! Thanks to Pinterest, I have started realizing the true benefits of making my own things and how much healthier it is. First of all, I love that I know what exactly goes into whatever I'm making. I know the ingredients that I am using and they aren't filled with toxic chemicals. It does take some time, but it's worth it to me.

I am working on several DIY beauty/health products at the moment, but let's start with my number 1 and absolutely must go-to! DIY Coffee Sugar Scrub! I love, love, love this scrub! I use it for my face! I also use it for my legs, hands, arm, tummy, thighs, feet, and even my booty! Coffee has many amazing properties and it helps tighten and firm.

Now, I had seen many and many recipes before I decided to make mine. I was actually pretty scared the first time I made it because I revamped the original recipe A LOT! But nothing is better than when you are able to put your own spin on things!

So for starters, let's get down to ingredients! Now I prefer my scrub to be less coarser than most, but if you are wanting a more coarser recipe just alter it to your liking and instead of the brown sugar use all white sugar or even salt!

What you will need:
1 C White Sugar
1 C Brown Sugar (or do 2 C white sugar or salt)
8 TB Coffee Grounds
1/2 C Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
A splash of Peppermint and Vanilla Extract (I actually didn't really measure it out)
Mason Jar

I absolutely love adding Peppermint by the way...it adds an incredible minty/cool feeling to wherever you decide to apply the scrub!

Directions:
First, mix sugars and coffee grounds together.
Second, heat up the coconut oil if it is not in liquid form. Sometimes depending on temperature, it tends to harden and become a solid.
Third, incorporate coconut oil in small amounts, mixing it well.
Fourth, then once everything is well incorporated, add the Peppermint and Vanilla extracts (or add the fragrances of your choosing)
Fifth, mix again and then pour mixture into a glass tight-lid Mason Jar.

And WALA! It's done! Super easy and super simple! I use this almost daily and it lasts me easily over a month! If your feet are due for a pedicure and you are on a budget or just don't have time...use this!! It works WONDERS!! Your feet will thank you and they will tingle and feel absolutely AMAZING!

It's also great to give as a gift! I gave this scrub to two of my girl friends for Christmas and they absolutely loved it! Plus, what's better than a DIY gift? It's created with love!

If you loved this recipe and know someone else who may love it too, please be my guest and share on! Also, let me know what you think of the recipe in the comment section below <3
